As the founding pastor’s wife of a vibrant 6,000-member Calvary Chapel congregation, Sarah has walked the path of grief for more than a decade. She experienced first-hand the deep, soul-searing grief—the kind that can ruin marriages, destroy one’s faith, and wreck families. But that is not her story. By God’s grace and mercy, with an unrelenting grip on the Lord’s hand, she clung to this promise amidst her pain: “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart and saves such as have a contrite spirit” (Ps. 34:18). Now, as thousands of people grieve the loss of a loved one through tragic circumstances, Sarah has decided to share her intimate story of grief to point others to the God of all comfort.
